Homemade Almond Butter

I decided to make my own almond butter because I was having a hard time finding a “clean” almond butter at the market. Most have palm oil or sugar added to them. I just wanted a simple almond butter with minimal organic ingredients that was delicious! This Almond butter is super simple and so delicious that I have to hide the jar in the back of the fridge so I don’t polish it off in a day!


  • Organic Whole Raw Almonds
  • Salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Scoop out 2.5 to 3 cups of organic whole raw almonds and place them on a dry baking sheet. I like to put down a piece of parchment paper and then put the almonds on top, that’s optional. Roast the almonds for about 8-10 mins, they will become very fragrant and slightly darker in color. Let the almonds completely cool down (15-20 mins). Place the almonds in a food processor and sprinkle in about 1 teaspoon of salt; I prefer to use pink Himalayan salt. Next you will run the food processor for 15 minutes, stopping every 5 minutes to scrape down the sides of the food processor to ensure all of the nuts are incorporated. Next, taste the butter and add any additional salt, cinnamon, nutmeg or other spices to your liking.
