Equipment
- Food Processor
Ingredients
- 1.5 Lbs Vine ripe tomatoes
- 1 Serrano Pepper
- 1/2 Medium Red Onion
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Cilantro
- 1 Tsp Pepper
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin Powder
Instructions
- Begin by roughly chopping tomatoes, red onion and serrano pepper, then place them into the food processor! I used 1 1/4 lbs of vine tomatoes with the core removed and 1/4 lbs of grape tomatoes. I also deseeded my jalapeno with the exception of 5 or 6 seeds for a little extra kick.Pulse the ingredients until you reach the desired consistency. Next add your cilantro and spice mixture and pulse very minimally until combined. Finish by stirring in the lime juice and adding any additional salt or spices you may like to your taste. Top with additional cilantro and serve up with your favorite chips and veggies!Pro tip: Leave the core in the tomatoes for a chunkier salsa! Also, we make this salsa just about every weekend and store in a glass Pyrex. The salsa will stay fresh in the fridge for 5 to 7 days!
