Quick And Easy Kalamata Olive White Bean Dip

Homemade White Bean Dip

Whip Up This Homemade Kalmata White Bean Dip in under 10 mins

This kalamata olive white bean dip will be your new go-to dip to make for get-togethers and Summer snacking! I whipped this up on a whim because we wanted to snack on hummus but I was out of the traditional ingredients. I had a few cans of navy beans on hand, so I mixed up 2 cans of navy beans (you can also use cannellini or great northern) 1/2 of kalamata olives (fresh from the olive bar), garlic and onion powder, juice of a whole lemon toss into a food processor, and blended for 3-5 mins in a food processor!

To my surprise, both Justin and I prefer this dip to hummus, which is traditionally made with chickpeas! I am finding white beans blend much better and get incredibly smooth and creamy and make for a great neutral base to add in seasoning. The kalamata olives give you that salty brine flavor and the lemon juice keeps this dip bright and fresh! You can eat this dip right away, but I think it’s best when you let it chill in the fridge for a few hours. Both Justin and I love this white bean dip so much that I am making a batch every Sunday and we snack on it all week with fresh cut veggies!

Practice Food Combining | Best Combines With Neutrals

Since the base of this dip is white beans, this dip combines best with neutrals like carrot sticks, sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and sliced bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • 2 15.5oz Cans of Navy Beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 Cup Kalamata Olives

Instructions

  • Begin by rinsing and draining your white beans in a colander and set aside to dry. You want to make sure there is no left over water or else your dip can become watery! If you are short on time you can always pat the beans dry with a paper towel as well!
Once dried, combine all ingredients into a food processor and blend for 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides and blend for another minute or two to ensure they are completely smooth. Scoop into your favorite serving bowl and enjoy with your favorite cut veggies!!
